Unique Ability

"Plato's Republic": grants one additional Wildcard policy slot in any government, from the very first government onward — genuinely one of the strongest civ abilities in the game since it compounds for the entire game.

Unique Unit: Hoplite

A sturdy Ancient era melee unit with reliable defensive strength.

Unique Infrastructure: Acropolis

A unique culture-focused district that provides strong adjacency bonuses for Culture output.

How to Play Greece

  • Send envoys to city-states consistently — Greece gets extra value from good relationships even without pursuing Suzerainty everywhere.
  • Build Acropolises on hills where possible for the strongest adjacency bonus.
  • A Culture Victory pairs naturally with the city-state-driven bonuses Greece already leans on.
